Sr Catherine Tay fmdm
My life story started from my grandparents who migrated from China as traders to Singapore. At school I was very active in the literary and drama groups and the choir. On finishing school I joined the teaching profession which I cherished very much. I led a very sociable and fashionable life-style, frequented movies, socials or dancing parties.

Sr Helena Mitchell fmdm
My name is Helena, a veteran of 53 years as a professed member of the FMDM Congregation. During that time I have served in England, Africa, New Zealand and Australia since 1995. I thank God for the gift of life; the gift of faith, my family and FMDM congregation and my vocation, and if I had my life over again and God asked me to follow, I would gladly do the same.

Sr Lucy Martinez fmdm
At least once in our lives we have dreamed of doing something special, even of being a saint ... I have not started yet but I am working on it!! Today I want to share with you some of my own journey as a Franciscan nun ... it is a love story.

Sr Marie Bourke fmdm
I grew up on a farm, in the small country town of Victoria; Nathalia, which is about 250 kms north of Melbourne, not far from the Murray River and the red gum forest of Barmah. We were seven children, though my youngest sister, Kerry died when I was five. My mother was a convert when she married my father, and it is probably true to say that much of our religious experience was drawn from her enthusiastic if at times strict understanding of Catholic life.

Sr Mary Love fmdm
“Wherever you go, I will go too.” These were the words God spoke in my heart as I travelled to Australia four years ago, to take up a new ministry as Pastoral Associate in Bendigo, central Victoria. As I continue on life's journey, I become more and more aware that God has been with me all along.

Sister Monica Weedon fmdm
Hello I'm Monica. I grew up in Perth in a family of seven and after leaving school went on to do my General Nursing Training. Then followed some years of nursing interspersed with travel to different parts of Australia and the world. I felt very fortunate to have the opportunity to travel as it gave me a much broader and enriching view of our human community.

Sr Patricia Murnane fmdm
My name is Patricia. I am a Franciscan Missionary of the Divine Motherhood. My love and understanding of the gospel message, the 'Good News', grew and developed during my secondary school years. The desire to know more about God drew me to prayer and an ongoing awareness of God's presence in all creation.
